On Saturday 15th September 2018, I went to visit The New Art Gallery in Walsall. The New Art Gallery was first opened on the 5th May 2000 by Queen Elizabeth II, replacing the old building. The Gallery has a lot of impressive artworks from Jacob Epstein, Kathleen Garman, Sally Ryan, Vincent Van Gogh, and much more. To keep up-to-date on what’s going on at the Gallery, follow their Twitter account right here. Anyhow, here’s my video and photos I took at the fascinating attraction in 360°.

Everything Announced At Apple’s “Gather Round” Event 🍎📱⌚️

On Wednesday 12th September 2018 at 10 AM PDT/6 PM BST, Apple held a special event at the Steve Jobs Theater in Cupertino, California where they announced new hardware. The event was broadcasted on apple.com for supported devices and browsers. Here are all the new products that have been announced during this event.

Apple Watch Series 4:

The Apple Watch Series 4 is the biggest change since the introduction of the original Apple Watch. It comes with an all-screen display, an electrical heart sensor, new watch faces, and much more. This is indeed the most life-saving device Apple has ever revealed. For more information about the Series 4, click here.

iPhone XS & XS Plus Max:

Last year’s iPhone X was an extremely remarkable phone. It was the biggest change since the introduction of the original iPhone in 2007. This year, Apple will discontinue the iPhone X and replace it with the iPhone XS and a larger 6.5-inch model called the iPhone XS Max, making it the largest iPhone display ever. It comes with a new 12 MP camera with Smart HDR, improved Face ID, and much more. More info about the new iPhone XS & XS Max can be found right here.

iPhone XR:

When the iPhone X was first announced last year, a lot of people were dying to have an all-screen smartphone but couldn’t afford $999/£999. That’s why this year, Apple has introduced a budget version of the iPhone X called the iPhone XR. The XR comes in 6 wonderful colours, new camera, haptic touch, and more. More information about the XR can be found here.

Those are all the new products that have been announced during this event. Even though it’s disappointing that the new iPhones are more expensive than we thought and the AirPower charging mat wasn’t mentioned, I still enjoyed this special event.

Today Marks 17 Years Since The September 11th Attacks (9/11)

17 years ago today on the 11th September 2001, the United States experienced the deadliest terrorist attacks in history. Four passenger planes were hijacked by Al-Qaeda terrorists. Two planes crashed into the twin towers of the World Trade Center, making it collapse after 1 hour 42 minutes. The third plane crashed into The Pentagon and the fourth plane crashed in a township in Pennsylvania due to one of the passengers tried to stop the hijackers from crashing. The occurrence killed 2,977 victims and injured over 6,000 people, there were no survivors from the plane crashes.

News stations from around the world captured the disturbing event especially ABC News when the second plane crashed.

We will always remember the victims who died during these devastating attacks 🙏

Birmingham (Saturday 25th August 2018)

On Saturday 25th August 2018, I went to a well-known West Midlands city called you guessed it… Birmingham. I was originally gonna go to the art gallery in Walsall until I heard there’s an Aircraft Tour in Victoria Square to celebrate 100 years of the Royal Air Force (RAF). The event was very spectacular and interesting. I also went to The Mailbox, an upmarket shopping and office development best known for the headquarters of BBC Midlands Today. I’ve managed to take photos and videos of Birmingham. Enjoy!

My Predictions For Apple’s “Gather round” Event On The 12th September 🍎📱⌚️

It’s that time of the year again! Apple will be hosting a special “Gather round” event on Wednesday 12th September at 10 AM PDT/6 PM BST. Like last year, it’ll be held at the Steve Jobs Theater, Apple Park in Cupertino, California. Here are my predictions on what to expect at this exciting event.

New iPhones:

Like every September event since the introduction of the iPhone 5 in 2012, there will be new iPhones announced. This year, we are expecting a 5.8-inch/6.5-inch OLED iPhone XS (10 S) and a 6.1-inch budget LCD model, which most reports confirms that it’ll be called the iPhone 9. Here are my predictions on what features it’ll have:

6.1-inch iPhone 9:

  • 5 new colours
  • Won’t support Qi wireless charging and fast charging
  • The camera to be very identical to the 4.7-inch iPhone 8
  • The resolution to be slightly lower than the iPhone X
  • Two storage sizes, 32GB and 64GB

5.8-inch & 6.5-inch iPhone XS:

  • Face ID to be more secure and horizontal
  • 12MP with more Portrait Lighting modes, a stable 4K 60fps video capture, etc.
  • A fast charging USB-C cable in the box
  • Three storage sizes, 64GB, 256GB and 512GB
  • Split-screen multitasking on the 6.5-inch only

A redesigned iPad Pro:

This image is a concept, not the real model.

It is rumoured that the next generation of the iPad Pro will be revealed at this event. It’ll have an 11-inch/12.9-inch edge-to-edge Super Retina Display with Face ID and no home button to coincide with the new iPhone’s design, making it the biggest iPad change since its introduction in 2010. Here are my predictions on what features it’ll have:

  • The same gold colour as the iPhone 8 and 8 Plus
  • The same camera as the 4.7-inch iPhone 8
  • Supports Qi Wireless Charging
  • The removal of the headphone jack (um… yay?)

Apple Watch Series 4:

It is quite obvious that the new Apple Watch Series 4 will be revealed at this event. The display will be edge-to-edge like the new iPhones and the new iPad Pro. The buttons on the side will be force sensitive like the iPhone 7/8’s home button. It is also rumoured that the Series 4 will be the first Apple Watch to ditch the non-cellular models, making every model Wi-Fi and cellular only.

AirPower release date:

Apple AirPower.jpg

I bet 85% of Apple users have completely forgotten about the upcoming AirPower wireless charging mat, which was revealed last September. The mat was supposed to ship sometime in January – April this year, but it has been postponed for unknown reasons. I believe Apple will be announcing the release date for the AirPower during this event. If not announced, this is what everyone’s reaction will be like.

Those are my predictions for next month’s event. Click here if you want to add a reminder about the event to your calendar.

Bentley Bridge (Sunday 12th August 2018)

On Sunday 12th August 2018, I went to Bentley Bridge, a leisure park located in Wednesfield. As I was there, I took photos and videos of the Hollywood Bowl bowling alley and an event associated with Wolverhampton Community Radio or WCR FM. To learn more about Bentley Bridge, visit their website here.

Drayton Manor 🎠🎡🎢 (Tuesday 7th August 2018)

On Tuesday 7th August 2018, I went to Drayton Manor. It was my first visit since September 2016 and some parts of the park have changed such as, the Ben 10 ride changing its name to Accelerator, the Golden Nuggets ride changing its name to Sheriff Showdown, the chairlift and the ferris wheel getting removed, etc. I’ve managed to take photos and videos of the park in 360°. Please enjoy!
